Restaurant & Hotel Publicity

With my 15-year background in public relations and advertising, as well as extensive travel and lifestyle writing experience, my services as a dining or accomodations publicist would expand media coverage and customer awareness for your establishment. This includes strategic positioning, creative concept development and story placement. Having worked on both sides of the fence- journalism and public relations, your business would benefit from my perspective. In addition to being the sports travel correspondent for a national radio show, I am also a former editorial board member of Hotel Executive magazine.

My reviews and articles have appeared in publications such as Washingtonian, Hotel Executive, “The Boston Herald”, AAA Horizons, Family Digest, “Arrington’s Inn Traveler”, Ohio, “The Baltimore Sun”, Pathfinders Travel, and Atlanta Goodlife, and I have participated in numerous press tours to resorts, spas and hotels in both the United States and Canada. I also have corporate consultation experience with companies such as Nike. Whether national or local in focus, the business image you project is your brand, which dictates how customers feel about your products and services. In the restaurant-hospitality arena, a powerful brand is the key to long-term success in a ever more competitive market. Public relations are aslo far less costly and often more effective than print or broadcast advertising. The advent of lifestyle and design magazines, food and travel t.v. channels, and the Rachael Ray/Martha Stewartization of America demands that restarauteurs and hoteliers stay abreast of communications strategy and trends. More and more companies, for example, have added a blog or podcast element to their marketing outreach.

Please contact me should you wish to discuss the advantages of a publicity campaign. P.R. references and writing samples are available upon request.
